Looking Through You: A 50th Anniversary Tribute to The Beatles’ Rubber Soul
I learned to play the drums by playing along to The Beatles' Rubber Soul. I learned every song and my practice sessions in 1998 consisted of me putting the CD on and playing along (thanks for putting up with that Mom and Dad). It is a very important record to me, so when Daniel and I were asked to cover a song from the record for a tribute album, I was excited, but quite nervous. "You can't cover the Beatles," I said to myself, but quickly realized we couldn't say no. We chose "Drive My Car" (the first song I ever learned on the drums) and decided to have a little fun with our approach to the tune. That's Daniel on saxophone, and now I know George's solo on piano, which may one day come in handy. We hope you enjoy our version of "Drive My Car," as well as awesome covers by friends like The David Mayfield Parade and The Love Language.
